Services
Since 1986, Industrial Equipment Technology, Inc. (IET) has represented some of the most innovative parts washer manufacturers in the USA.
IET is the authorized factory representative for most of the Southeast.
We offer technical inspection of your parts, and advise on what type of parts cleaning application you may require.
Another service we provide is complimentary test washing of your parts.
This allows us to recommend the right process for cleaning your parts, the correct chemistry and parts washer.
PARTS WASHING: In selecting an industrial parts washing system it is important to consider the size, shape, and configuration of the parts themselves.
Massive weights, large surface areas, acute angles, occluded sections, and blind holes pose special problems, independent of the contaminant(s) to be removed or the chemical cleaner to be used.
Proper cleaning of all parts can only result when consideration has been given to these physical variables.
PASSIVATION: Passivation, according the ASTM A380, is "the removal of exogenous iron or iron compounds from the surface of stainless steel by means of a chemical dissolution, most typically by a treatment with an acid solution that will remove the surface contamination, but will not significantly affect the stainless steel itself."
Ultrasonic Parts Washers induce controlled cavitation (the formation of bubbles in a liquid) in the cleaning fluid.
Cavitation bubbles form and collapse suddenly, releasing tremendous energy against the surfaces of objects immersed in the tank, which essentially "scrubs" quite hard to remove soils from the parts.
Cavitation is determined by the frequency of the unit.
Low frequencies generate large cavitation and high frequencies generate smaller cavitation, but in greater numbers.
Ultrasonic technology is changing the parts cleaning industry by making precision cleaning cheaper, safer, faster and more effective.
Versatility is one of the main advantages of using a conveyor parts washer.
It can function as a stand-alone system or it can be integrated into a handling line.
Similarly, the many different types of conveyor parts washers offer great flexibility.
They can be fitted to squeeze into a small cramped space or made to sprawl on a vast plant floor.
Conveyor Parts Washers can be custom-made to fit many variables, including but not limited to: weight capacity, belt width, turning radius, tunnel height, wash/rinse tank size, wash/rinse tank heating method, pump output, and general dimensions.
Rotary Drum Parts Washers are the most economical method for high volume washing, rinsing, and drying of stamped parts, screw machine parts, small die cast parts etc. Parts are washed by a dual action cleaning process that uses a highly effective spray cleaning, to wash the exterior surfaces, along with immersion cleaning, to flush the inside of the parts under solution.
Rotary drum washers clean small parts in volume.
The rotating drum has an internal helix to tumble and convey the parts forward through one or more cleaning stages.
