Most drycleaners use standard drycleaning chemicals and clean gowns together with other gowns in the same batch. All of which are done just to save on operational costs. They lack better methods, proper equipment, and experience. Worse yet they farm them out to a mega plant in the area that does a fast and shoddy job.
All of those methods are too aggressive and too risky for the delicate fabrics and adornments. We have seen and repaired many horror stories over the years created by drycleaners who did not know what they were doing.
