These metals include architectural anodized aluminum, coated aluminum and stainless steel.
Restoration cleaning and maintenance of these prestigious buildings prolongs the effective life of the finishes and curtain wall systems.
Restoration includes the removal of airborne soil, atmospheric pollutants, sealant residue, oxidation and corrosion due to extended exposure to the environment.
The aluminum and limestone faade of this forty one story high rise building overlooking Chicago's Millennium Park was exposed to urban pollution and weathering for more than 25 years without a comprehensive cleaning.
Although the limestone has been repaired over time the aluminum components of the faade were not specifically addressed.
The structural integrity of the aluminum surfaces was not compromised however the long term weathering adversely affected the appearance of the once metallic finish.
Stainless steel is a classic material in architecture that truly stands the test of time.
Although it has been used for complete curtain wall systems, it is more commonly used on distinct architectural features in lobbies and common areas of commercial buildings.
The most widely used grades of stainless steel for architectural purposes include 304 and 316.
In urban environments, 316 provides greater corrosion resistance.
Like anodized aluminum, stainless steel is resilient and can be abrasively cleaned to remove corrosion, pollutants and staining in advanced stages of exposure.
Problem: The Willis Tower has a three story lobby with stainless steel cladding on all exposed beams and column covers as well as stainless steel revolving doors and swing doors.
There is also a three story canopy over the east entrance clad in stainless steel.
Alumitec provides regular ongoing maintenance and cleaning on a scheduled basis.

Alumitec will deliver the Denka to your jobsite and provide orientation and training to the users.
An experienced operator can be provided to assist with your project if requested.
The Denka provides the flexibility to work in high-traffic areas during off-hours while making the workspace available for its intended use during the day.
