Services
Grouts are porous and, as a result, they easily absorb grease, dirt and lime scale.
Spillages such as wine, lemonades or greasy substances will cause marks and patches in the joints in the floor.
Grout between wall-tiles, particularly in damp areas like bathrooms, will become dirty and unattractive as a result of Mould, Mildew and Limescale.
Mould is one of the most unsightly problems, which usually starts off in the wettest area of the room, this could be the bottom of the shower or bath, then starts to spread and if left unchecked could cover a large area of the wall.
Victorian tiles were traditionally and still are used for entrance areas and hallways, where their colours and patterns would create a bright colourful first appearance.
Being very hard wearing they have survived through years of use and in places neglect, often found hidden under carpets or wooden floors we are regularly asked to bring these beautiful tiles back to life.
Most of the Victorian tile floors we see have been covered and hidden from view for years and are in a desperate need for restoration.
Travertine is a limestone and comes either polished or unpolished with a natural matt finish.
Polished Travertine needs to be burnished with diamond pads using a floor polishing machine.
The burnishing process removes old sealers and scratches from the surface and by using different grit pads the stone can be left clean, scratch free and ready for sealing.
A full seal with the appropriate sealers can leave your floor looking its best.
It has to be cleaned with care using specialist products being sure not to damage the stone during cleaning.
For example it is very sensitive to anything acidic whether cleaners or spills and if left on the surface will etch and mark the surface which can be permanent if not cleaned up immediately after contact.
We have the correct machinery and knowledge to look after your floor to the best standards.
