Services
Del Rey Divers is the oldest dive service in Marina Del Rey, cleaning the bottom of boats, with the same ownership since 1964.
Our cleaning program is based on 50 years of experience & the simple premise that if you have to scrape a considerable amount of coral marine growth from a regularly maintained boat bottom, then too much time has elapsed between cleanings.
Boat bottoms need to be scheduled & cleaned more often to avoid excessive marine growth & the subsequent loss of the boat's performance.

What are zincs?
Most boat owners and divers use the word "Zincs" to refer to a sacrificial anode.
Various metals, such as aluminum and Magnesium are used as sacrificial anodes besides zinc.
Zinc or sacrificial anodes are used to protect a boats' underwater metal fittings, such as propellers, shafts, thru-hull fittings, rudders, trim tabs etc., from corrosion.
The zinc must be attached or wired (bonded) to the metal fitting it is to protect from corrosion.
Corrosion, like rust, is where the metal that is being corroded, gives up it's electrons and is basically falling apart or disintegrating.
Please be aware that as cleaning schedules are projected 6 months in advance, we seldom adjust schedules; If we fall behind, we will soon catch up.
Throughout the entire year the total number of cleanings remain the same.
Subsequently, in general, we neither charge more when bottoms are cleaned late, or less when bottoms are cleaned early.
The only time we reserve the right to charge more for late cleanings is when they are missed because the boat is gone from its slip and the increased growth accumulation demands more of the divers time for the marine growth removal.
